THE BOARD

For quite a while I have been trying to put together a board that has a lot of tonal possibilities and power for touring. This board is a realization of that journey. For all you technical gear junkies out there, I will list out the pedals and their functionality on my board. Hope this helps you in your tone quest.

TC ELECTRONIC POLYTUNE 2 NOIR

Tuner Pedal. Most important of all pedals in order to ensure your musicality matches with the rest of your band. Super bright LEDs that can be seen clearly even under the afternoon sun. I run this pedal always on courtesy of the tuner out on the Interfacer.

STRYMON BIGSKY

This is one of the most dreamy pedals you will hear. Great for creating soundscapes. I have only utilised 5% of this pedal…. 95% here I come :)

MUSICOMLAB EFX MKIII+

The Musicom Lab EFX MKiii+ is the Swiss army knife of pedal switchers. It provides 60 banks of four presets each and full MIDI capability. The MKiii+ has eight effect loops, buffering, ground lift, and amplifier channel switching. It is the brains of my rig.

LOVEPEDAL AMP 11

This pedal churns out a fat organic tone similar to an overdriven tube amp. Have had a Love-Hate relationship with this pedal, however it always remains on the board because of its warm rounded sound and its ability to work with other pedals. This pairs beautifully with the Tim and gives me tons of tonal options with its independent boost section. I run this on Loop 5 of my Musicomlab.

GOODWOOD AUDIO INTERFACE

The Interfacer is a complete guitar and amplifier interface for your pedal board that will take your stereo rig and easily convert it to a mono setup all while maintaining your signal integrity. The Interfacer is equipped with 3 buffers and a "stereo/mono" switch that will sum your stereo signal to a mono feed. This is a fantastic feature that will allow you to setup your rig for stereo and leave it that way no matter where you are playing. It also has a dedicated tuner output and a mute switch.

EVENTIDE H9

This is like a mini Multi FX Pedal, it has more effects than I will ever need in my lifetime. It has stellar effects on tap and can be programmed using my phone. I use this to run filters in Loop 3 of the Musicomlab and run modulations or delays if I want in Loop 8 of the Musicomlab.

JHS ANDY TIMMONS

This is the Andy Timmons Signature pedal which is based on the JHS Angry Charlie. This is an amazing, massive high gain pedal that sounds like a Marshall cranked. I use this only if I need a really heavy driven guitar sound. This pedal actually belongs to my buddy Varun from Swarathma who lent it to me to try. I don’t think this will be going back to him though :P Helps me indulge in my occasional Dream Theater and Symphony X tunes if needed. I run this on Loop 6 of my Musicomlab.

XOTIC SP COMPRESSOR

Based on the beloved Ross circuit, this analog compressor promises to smooth the peaks and enhance the subtleties in a discreet manner. Its super simple to use and has a super small footprint. I run this in Loop 2 of the Musicomlab and it too is installed underneath my pedalboard.

STRYMON TIMELINE

This is one of the best delay pedals you can get in the market. Still learning to tweak it better in order to get what I want. I store songs as presets and recall it through the Musicomlab.

tribes quartz.png

Selah Quartz Timer V2

This basically is my best friend when it comes to syncing all my pedals and keeping time.

The Quartz is a ridiculously powerful device and also can act as a MIDI controller and it can also translate a standard metronome audio signal into a BPM that it can use to generate Midi and Tap signals.

PAUL COCHRANE TIM

My favourite overdrive pedal of all time. The Tim overdrive boost a very versatile, extremely transparent, sweet pedal, It also has a super cool effects loop. This pedal is on 90% of the time. The Tim is no longer in production however Paul C makes the Timmy which is a TIM without the Boost section. I run this on Loop 7 of my Musicomlab.

XOTIC EP BOOSTER

A simple pure boost that pays reverence to the magical EP-3. I run this pedal underneath my board as an ‘Always on’ pedal, it adds fatness and clarity to my clean tone.

POWER

Strymon Ojai

This super tiny power supply powers my entire FX section.

Gig Rig

The Generator / Distributor / Isolator Modular power system powers everything else on the board. This can also technically power another board as well coz it has so much power on tap.
